Elder Care Experts

My Gramps, Andrew Ruoff, MD, lived to be 104 and just recently passed away in September 2023. He was a vital, accomplished, often brilliant, and sweet man who cared about others for his entire life. As time took him along the last leg of his journey, even at 104- he still stood up chivalrously whenever his girlfriend did; even though his legs weren’t always trustworthy. He had such a sweetness to him- it’s difficult to describe except that if you have been close to someone who is very elderly, you probably know exactly what I mean because so many very elderly people have a similar, melt your heart sweetness about them that just makes you smile when you think to them and want to hold their hands. ((Not every elderly person, of course!))

So many people don’t know what services are available to them when it comes to caring for or preparing for their aging loved ones needs and unfortunately lots of families have to scurry to figure it out at a moment of urgency, without support and without really knowing if they are making the best choice with what is available which tends to inspire feelings of guilt, vulnerability, and insecurity for those decision makers even when they understand they have made the best decisions possible in their situation.

In 2024 and beyond David and I will be speaking on these topics to help educate families as to what is available to them, and to empower them as they begin to understand that they truly are the “boss” in these situations, whether they are looking to find a good placement for their loved one or they are looking to help keep them safe at home. There are a lot

of tools available that can help families care for their loved ones at home longer (in the right situations) but many times families aren’t sure what products are reliable or if their strategy is reasonable, considering their loved ones needs.

It takes a village no matter if you are raising a child or caring for another person! Period. Sage Senior Care Advisors is here to support you in your journey!

We will meet with you with the goal of understanding your families situation and needs, we will meet with your loved one - because it really does help to meet with them in person to understand their care needs and the type of place that may resonate with them.
